About Us
Who are we?
At JollyHeap, we specialize in the production and distribution of large and soft magnetic blocks. Our blocks are supplied to early education facilities, playgrounds, and specialized therapeutic clinics.
Currently, our company operates in 49 countries worldwide, constantly seeking new challenges and avenues for expansion. JollyHeap blocks entertain children across Europe, Japan, USA, Korea, Kuwait, and Australia.
Our backstory
The originator and designer of the product is Oleksandr Sapunov, an engineer who transformed a real need of his son into a product that today entertains and develops thousands of children worldwide.
The proccess – how the JollyHeap blocks were created
Transforming a real need into a product that entertains and develops
exploration of needs
Oleksandr’s son, Michał loved to build various structures, forts, and hideouts using pillows, blankets, and anything he could find in his room. From a young age, he demonstrated engineering skills inherited from his father.
Unfortunately these structures were unstable and the inability to connect individual elements severely limited the building possibilities.
conceptualization
Seeing Michał’s frustration and dissatisfaction Oleksander wanted to avoid his discouragement from creative and developmental play. He decided to come up with a solution that would allow Michał to enjoy the process of building and develop his engineering skills.
He decided to design blocks that would allow both building and safely demolishing regardless of their large size. He wanted to give Michał a taste of real engineering, where the laws of magnetism, gravity, and logical thinking matter.
implementation
When he developed the toy his perfectionism wouldn’t allow him to rest on his laurels, and Oleksandr had to refine it down to the smallest detail. He tested fabrics and materials, analyzed technical aspects, and experimented with various sizes. As a result, blocks were created that today entertain, inspire, and delight children in schools, preschools, and playgrounds worldwide.
