Equipment for play centres and soft play areas
An attraction that never gets old
Durable, quiet and safe equipment for children’s play centres: large soft magnetic blocks children use to build the attraction themselves. No assembly, no noise, no replacing it after one season.
An attraction that adds up as a business
A play centre is a game of return on investment, low costs and families who come back. So when we look at play centre equipment, we count running costs, servicing and the lifespan of the set.
The lowest running cost
No mechanics, no electronics, no servicing. There is nothing to break. The only maintenance is washing.
Service after the warranty
Once the warranty is over we replace worn blocks with new ones at a preferential price, so your set always looks as though it had just come out of the box.
An investment for years
Soft blocks for play centres come with a 36-month warranty, and the magnets with 10 years.
We have been using JollyHeap’s magnetic soft blocks at rabatzz! in Hamburg for several years now, and their quality, safety and versatility have won us over for good. They are soft, safe and durable — and after years of use they have lost none of their pull. We would choose them again any time and recommend the product without reservation.
How do JollyHeap blocks work in a play area?
Six roles the same set plays on the floor, from the attraction children build themselves to a corner for winding down.
The only attraction children build themselves
The one place on the floor where children decide whether today brings a house, a car or a rocket.
A ready-made set for parties and activities
One tool for hundreds of themed games, with no extra props to buy.
A quiet zone with no building work
A sensory corner or a quiet zone appears without calling in the builders.
Quiet play
When a huge tower comes down, all you hear is children laughing, not a deafening crash of plastic.
Child safety
No hard plastics and no sharp edges. Nobody leaves in tears or with a bump.
A haven for toddlers (ages 1–3)
The blocks make a soft space where the youngest can finally play their own way.
A day in the play area
From the empty morning to the birthday peak, one set earns its keep at every hour.
Those empty mornings finally pay off
Monday to Friday the room usually sits empty. Soft, quiet, educational blocks are a ready-made reason for a nursery or preschool “educational trip”, something a ball pit can’t offer. A new group of customers in the hours that never earned before.

Crowd, energy and fewer conflicts
After school the room is bursting. An obstacle course, a giant build, blocks flying, and children burn off energy while soft foam cushions both the falls and the noise. Fewer tears, fewer staff interventions.

The attraction children talk about
For a birthday party you build a castle or a race track in a few minutes. Afterwards you take it apart just as quickly, and the blocks go straight into the washing machine at 30 °C. The next day the room is as good as new.

One investment that pays back faster and looks different every week.
Silence and acoustic comfort
Even 22 dB quieter
in a JollyHeap fort
The same gap separates street noise from a quiet room. No more overstimulation: the very presence of the blocks in a room reduces perceived noise by up to 30%.*
* Noise reduction depends on the ratio of blocks to room size. We reached 30% with 20 blocks per m² of space.
Frequently asked questions
Before you size a set, the things institutions ask about most.
Do large soft blocks work as play centre equipment?
Yes. Large soft magnetic blocks are play centre equipment with no mechanics, no electronics and no servicing, so there is nothing to repair. The only maintenance is washing the whole blocks in a washing machine at 30 °C. At the Klockownia play centre, after six years of intensive use the blocks looked good enough to be used in a commercial photo shoot.
Why do the sets come in two colours?
Blocks of one colour carry the N pole, blocks of the other colour the S pole. Only opposite poles connect, which means blocks of different colours, and children work the rule out intuitively as they play. It is also excellent hand–eye coordination practice.
Can I buy more blocks for my set later on?
Yes. All JollyHeap sets are compatible with one another, so you can keep growing the collection, whenever the appetite for more ways to play shows up.
Can the covers be taken off the blocks?
No. For children’s safety each block is one sealed piece. You do not need to remove a cover to wash it, though. The blocks go into the washing machine whole.
Do the sets come with building instructions?
Our sets have no single instruction sheet and no single right way to play. JollyHeap supports free play: building, experimenting and creating your own way.

Think hard. Play soft.
JollyHeap is a Polish manufacturer of large soft magnetic foam blocks. Since 2015 we have been sewing them by hand in Rzeplin near Wrocław. In preschools and schools, children use them to learn counting and building. Therapists use them in sensory integration and physiotherapy, and play centres choose them because they stand up to intensive daily use.
